The weather wasn't great but it sounded like you all had a brilliant day. Ashleigh delighted in telling me that her canoe didn't just go round in circles like the one I had a shot of. I never did make it to the finishing line.
Jillian, hopefully Ashleigh will manage to take you out in the Spirit Dancer Canadian canoe - maybe in a large canoe with a team of paddlers you'll manage to go in a straight line. The class did very well - not just going in a straight line, but they also managed a game of 'What's the time, Mr Wolf?' in the canoes.
The pupils are all hoping to get the chance to take their families out in the Spirit Dancer canoe at the end of term. It's 42 feet long and takes around 16 paddlers.
This is the blog for the Primary 3/4 class at Glaitness School for the academic year 2009-10. We hope you enjoy reading about what we have been doing.
We would love it if people left comments on our blog.
We have a link school in Canada. It is the Outma Sqilx'w Cultural School in Penticton in the Okanagan region of British Columbia. We are hoping that the pupils in our link school will be able to read our blog and leave comments too.
It looks like you had great fun! I'm very sad that I missed it, but I'm looking forward to seeing more photos and videos and hearing all about it.
