Games galore and painting with light.

It's been another busy week in P3/4.

In Drama we were exploring using our bodies. Here is a sculptor putting the final touches to his scuplture of the Statue of Liberty.

Here is a state of a ballet dancer. People are touring the gallery looking at the scupltures.

In PE we learned a new game called Boccia. It's pronouced 'Botcha' and is a throwing game. The Ancient Greeks invented it.

We did some running too - this is us trying different starting positions like kneeling and lying down.

Here we are in the library. We go there every week to borrow books.

This is P3 working on problem solving in maths. Everyone said it was a really hard problem this week.

Some P4s made a game to practise telling the time in different ways. They made a box for it, typed out the rules and then played it with other pupils.

We sorted times into order and were very pleased we managed it with both digital clocks and analogue clocks.

We got a new game for the whiteboard to help us with telling the time.

This is us doing health - we were writing all the things a good friend should be. Some people were allowed to go and steal ideas from other groups!

Here we are researching Greek gods.

In Golden Time some people painted these pictures. Do you know what they painted them with?

Bere bannocks

At the end of last term we made bere bannocks. We went to the kitchen in small groups with Mrs Stanger to make them and everyone made some.

We cleaned up afterwards.

We cut up the bere bannocks and buttered them, then had them at our food tasting event.

We took some through to let the kitchen staff try them. We were worried about what they would think because they are all so good at cooking. They really liked them and Louis said they were the best bere bannocks he had ever tasted.

Mrs MacNab said they were the best she had ever tasted too and she liked them with the rhubarb jam from Shapinsay.
